Fulton Fishing Pier Update:

The New Fulton Fishing Pier Update is that it’s now complete, and open to the public. The official grand opening was on October 30th, 2021.

The pier has some new state-of-the-art LED fishing lights that illuminate water for greater visibility of fish below surface level.

You can go catch a few nice fish from the end of the pier. Anyone can walk down the pier without charge but if you’re looking for an even more interactive experience, bring your fishing pole to this magnificent structure!

You can now rent Fishing equipment at the pier. Just see the attendant on site and they will be able to hook you up with some gear.

When is the pier open?

The pier is open to the public 24 hours a day 365 days a year

What does it Cost to Fish?

The Town of Fulton finished building a little shack at the pier entrance where people fishing will pay $5 per rod. Maximum 4 poles per person to cast their lines into Aransas Bay.

You can also purchase snacks there and they will be attended to most of the time. It’s also completely free to stroll and check out what the people are catching.

How can we pay?

The entrance shack has an attendant there most of the time.

The shop has drinks, frozen shrimp, snacks, and a few other items.

In the event that the attendant is not there. An Honest John box is available to drop your fishing fee in.

Here are a few Rules & Regulations to know

1. All Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult

2. No Jumping from the pier

3. Do not dispose of fish carcasses debris or remains in the water. Use trash cans provided

4. Use monofilament receptacles for all discarded fishing line

5. Report injured or strained sea turtles to Texas Sea Turtle Hotline

We do ask that you please pick up your trash and be courteous to others as this is a family-friendly place.

There are bathrooms located at the beginning of the pier and a couple of bait stands nearby. Fulton Harbor Bait Stand & Aransas Bait.

Where is the closest place to get bait?

The entrance at the pier shack does sell frozen shrimp, but there are a couple of Bait Shops within walking distance of the pier. Fulton Harbor Bait Stand, and Aransas Bay Bait Company

As we mentioned earlier The Pier is open 24/7 and everyone is welcome to come.

The Pier is maintained by the Town of Fulton and was provided by FEMA disaster relief funding and private donors.

Where is the best place to stay when visiting the Fulton Fishing Pier?

When it comes to choosing a place to stay while visiting the Fulton Fishing Pier in Fulton Texas, there are a few things to keep in mind.

First and foremost, you'll want to find a place that's close to the pier. After all, who wants to waste time driving back and forth when they could be fishing?
